Hoax Bomb Threat Call to Raj Bhavan Sends Bengaluru Authorities on Edge
Bengaluru, Karnataka: On Tuesday, a chilling hoax bomb threat call sent shockwaves through Bengaluru as it targeted Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the Governor of Karnataka.
The incident unfolded at 11:30 PM on Monday, when a malicious caller contacted Raj Bhavan via their landline phone. With a menacing tone, the individual claimed to have planted a bomb within the building, sparking immediate panic and a flurry of activity.
Responding swiftly, authorities rushed to the scene and launched a thorough search operation. K-9 units were deployed, meticulously combing every corner of the building, while security personnel remained vigilant.
Following a comprehensive sweep, the authorities thankfully confirmed it was a hoax call, leaving a sigh of relief in its wake. The investigation, however, remains ongoing as Vidhana Soudha police delve deeper into the incident.
This unsettling event comes just days after a disturbing email threat terrorized Bengaluru on December 1st. Over 60 schools received emails claiming impending bomb explosions, causing widespread anxiety among parents and school officials.
Police sources confirmed the email’s sinister nature, revealing its inclusion of jihadi literature and threats to eliminate non-Muslims.
These two incidents, occurring within a week, highlight the growing concern surrounding security threats in Bengaluru. As authorities continue their investigations, the need for heightened vigilance and robust security measures becomes increasingly evident.
